The museum focuses on the collection, registration, restoration, maintenance, presentation, and publication of archeological findings in the territory of Slovakia from prehistoric ages up to the late Middle Ages. All findings are presented in the form of exhibitions. The museum is situated in the historical building of the Kamper’s mansion house.

The museum will be closed on 1st May 2026.
